Alle eyes on an invisible product
Volta developed a clear identity and brand architecture for Genio, as well as Nyxoah. The soft branding puts the focus on sleep and quality of life, rather than on the product itself.
Good morning, volta!
Nyxoah knocked on our door to redesign their logo. At the same time they asked us to develop a logo and style for an innovative product they were about to launch. We immediately understood the need to approach this via a separate corporate branding and communication for their new, revolutionary product against sleep apnoea.
The product? Restored sleep.
Through hands-on workshops, we distilled distinct personalities, a clear value proposition and accompanying brand architecture. Genio's story focuses on restored sleep and higher quality of life, so not on a nearly invisible medical product. The brand strategy provided a real resting point here. Thus, we placed a smart product in the market with a strong parent brand as backing.
The feeling of waking up fresh
Developing the brand identity was a lot more challenging. Genio is a virtually invisible medical product against sleep apnoea. Moreover, we were not allowed to portray patients for privacy reasons.
The solution? A design with soft colours, flowing shapes and clean illustrations to create a feeling of blissful awakening after a wonderful sleep. In the copy, we emphasise how sleep quality also benefits quality of life. We show the added value for the end user and leave the medical and technological explanations to the doctor or sleep specialist.

Breathing as a concept
The strategy and identity all came to life in Nyxoah's communication channels: from website to presentation, from print to animation. Breathing was the inspiration for the subtle, undulating movements on the website, in the logo or in the presentation, among others.
Genious sound design
We created several instructional videos for Genio, bringing the illustrative style to life. Oh, that dreamy soundtrack? We made that one in-house, too, of course!
A fresh website
The corporate branding was also applied to Nyxoah's website. This way, we achieve a light-hearted and professional result there too.
